AgDiscovery at NCSU is a two-week summer camp for 14-17 year olds designed to help students learn about careers in plant science.  Students live on campus and participate in research experiences led by university professors, practicing entomologists, botanists, plant pathologists, and scientists working for the US Department of Agriculture.  Students also explore topics and careers related to plant pathology, entomology, agribusiness, and animal science through field trips, work shops, lab experiences, and field experiences.  The NCSU program dates are June 16 - June 27, 2014.

AgDiscovery is available at 17 different universities and colleges across the US and is funded by the US Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Office of Civil Rights.  The program is free to students except for the cost of travel to and from the program.

Applications are available on the USDA AgDiscovery website.  The deadline to apply is March 31, 2014.  More information about the NCSU program is available on the NCSU AgDiscovery website.
